Meet the Huron County, Ohio Commissioners

TERRY BOOSE, a 1974 graduate of St. Paul High School, grew up working on his family’s 1,200-acre fruit and vegetable farm in Norwalk Township.  He graduated from Bowling Green State University and earned his MBA from Texas Tech University.  After a few years as a management consultant in Dallas, Texas and Columbus, Ohio, Terry returned to Huron County and the farm.  After the farm was sold, he became controller for Norwalk Concrete Industries.

Terry previously served as Huron County Commissioner from 1997 to 2004 and as State Representative from 2009 to 2016.  He took office as Commissioner again in 2017.  He and his wife, MaryLisa, live in Norwalk Township and have four children and six grandchildren.


JOE HINTZ was born and raised in Huron County. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1974. He served in the Ohio National Guard from 1976 – 1982. Joe has been self-employed since 1976. He became a Huron County Commissioner in 2011 and is now serving his second term.

Joe is a member of the Huron County Camp of the Gideons International, serving in the jail ministry. He and his wife, Elaine, live in Norwalk.  They have four daughters and sons-in-law and 11 grandchildren. Joe and his family are Christians and attend The Chapel in Norwalk.


BRUCE “SKIP” WILDE, a Norwalk native, graduated from Norwalk High School in 1974 and attended Firelands College.  He started working with Domino’s in 1984, eventually opening franchises in both Norwalk and Huron.  Skip sold the Norwalk franchise in 2015.  He is also part-owner of Anytime Fitness, which opened in Norwalk in 2011.

Skip served four years on the Norwalk School Board and served eight years as a Norwalk City Councilman.  He is active in several community service projects, including serving as co-president of Stampede of Dreams, a therapeutic riding program now based in Bellevue. He became Huron County Commissioner in 2017. He and his wife, Patti, have two daughters and sons-in-law and six grandchildren.
